3sat ZDF
The 3sat studio setdesign interweaves brand identity and spatial design into a comprehensive design concept that unites the three cultural and science programs under the umbrella brand 3sat. All studio designs are derived from their respective logos and enable a seamless transition from the opening sequence to the first shot. The four elements of the Kulturzeit logo, the red circle of nano, and the nautilus shell as the symbol of scobel are consistently translated into spatial form.
In the Kulturzeit studio, the orientation of the triangular elements and the geometry of the illuminated lamellae create the illusion of the logo in the opening shot, which then dissolves into the full spatial composition during the following camera movement. Thereby the initially concealed projection screen integrates into the geometry of the lamellae. The deliberately composed linear perspective creates visual depth and opens up a wide range of camera angles.
