About us
Banozic Architecture Studio is an independent architecture and design studio based in Frankfurt am Main. Our work operates at the intersection of architecture, scenography, and media design. We understand space as a strategic medium in which brand, narrative, and identity are translated into atmosphere, materiality, and spatial dramaturgy. In doing so, we combine functional requirements with design precision and a clear conceptual approach.
Space as Experience
Our concepts are designed to activate perception, shift perspectives, and make content tangible through sensory experience. Through targeted spatial transformations, changes in perspective, and visual disruptions, new forms of perception emerge. Architecture thus becomes an instrument that not only defines space, but consciously shapes and transforms it.
Integration of Architecture, Media, and Design
Our projects are developed within the dynamic interplay of different disciplines. Architecture, scenography, graphic design, and media design are not treated as separate elements, but are integrated into a coherent overall system. This interdisciplinary approach enables us to analyze complex requirements precisely and translate them into clear spatial principles that harmonize orientation, functionality, and perception.
Process and Collaboration
Close collaboration with clients, specialist consultants, and all project participants is a central part of our work. Our goal is to develop a distinct and appropriate solution for every task — individual, context-driven, and sustainable in the long term. Clients
Our clients include companies, investors, institutions, and cultural organizations, including Federal Bank of Germany, 3sat ZDF, Jewish Museum Berlin, Volkswagen Financial Services and simINN GmbH.
Boris Banozic is an architect and founder of the studio. His work focuses on the intersection of architecture, space and media-driven environments.
He studied architecture in Munich and at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main, where he was influenced by Peter Cook and Enric Miralles, developing an interdisciplinary approach to spatial design.
After early experience in scenography and exhibition design at Atelier Markgraph, he founded his own studio in 2004. Since then, he has developed projects in architecture, brandspaces and broadcast environments.
From 2017 to 2021, he served as Executive Creative Director at Cheil MDLab, leading international retail and exhibition projects. Since 2022, he has been working independently again.
