The Special Effects and Colourgrading Studio reflects the world of movie making by creating a visually `gravity free´ space, related to Science Fiction movie setups. Robert Wiene´s `The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari´ and the overlap of filmstrips in Lis Rhodes's Videoinstallation `Light Music´ was our inspiration to start interweaving the space with huge transparent filmstrips to override our common perception of 3-dimensionality. The walls and furnitures are rotated and twisted along the axis of the corridor to create a transparent multifunctional wall, that generates the counter, seatings and storage place and transforms the corridor into an autonomous, collective space illuminated by daylight. The developed formal and functional repertoire accumulates into the main Colourgrading Studio, extendable to a temporary cinema.
