The ceremony takes place each year in the courtyard of the museums historical building, that was transformed into a multifunctional hall by Daniel Libeskind. The stagedesign is an expression for the process of integration. 122 triangles out of foil mirror are suspended in various angles and formations to create a collage and a reflection of the ceremony´s guests and of old and new architecture. The composition of triangles refers to Libeskinds glass roof and it´s dissected columns, their directions relate to the walls of the old building and the dinner tables. In this way the stage creates a vibrant unity of the guests, the light and space around them. It changes it´s appearance from every point of view by reflecting different colours of the interior. The partially distorted reflections create distinct graphic structures that appear as animated paintings.
