Observation Tower - Deutscher Wetterdienst

Weather Park Offenbach 2006

The task of designing an observation tower that will serve to observe and analyze the climate and weather, inspired us to scale a measuring instrument to an architectural scale. The observation deck of the "viewing tower" stands on a tripod, which is stabilized by a steel staircase. The human eye is replaced by an aligned frame that directs the gaze to the significant landscape and uses infographics to show how information about the upcoming weather can be obtained from the visibility and the degree of cloudiness of the air.
